Finish 02 of 10
The polished concrete look applied straight over your existing floor at just 2 to 4mm. Your doors stay hung, your skirting stays put, and the whole ground floor reads as one calm surface.
The finish
Multiple flooring materials chop a home into rooms. One seamless floor makes it feel like one place, and it makes it feel bigger.
Microcement bonds to tiles, concrete, screed and most timber floors. It is trowelled on by hand in layers, so the surface carries a subtle movement that no printed tile can imitate, then sealed with a hard-wearing polyurethane topcoat. Hallway, kitchen, living room and stairs can all be done in the same material, with no transition strips and nothing to catch dirt.

Where it works

Spills wipe straight off a sealed surface with no joints.

Heavy traffic, no wear lines, no loose boards.

Warm, matte and quiet underfoot.

Treads and risers coated in the same finish, no nosings needed.
Why clients choose it
Tiles, concrete, screed and timber. No demolition, no skip, no subfloor bill.
Doors do not need trimming. Skirting, kitchens and thresholds stay where they are.
Thin build and good thermal transfer make it one of the best surfaces for UFH.
Every floor carries the movement of the trowel. Yours will not look like anyone else's.
Sealed with a polyurethane topcoat used in commercial spaces.
Warm greys, chalk whites, deep charcoals or a match to your designer's palette.

Questions
Microcement is flexible by nature and moves with the substrate rather than against it. The key is preparing the base properly, which is always part of our job. Any existing movement joints are respected.
Yes. Every room is coloured independently, though most clients run one tone throughout so the house reads as one space.
Foot traffic the day after sealing, furniture after three days, and full hardness in around a week.
It can, or it can look like limestone, plaster or chalk. The colour and the trowel pattern decide the character.
